creative geekery virtual day camp: day 2

Welcome to day two of creative geekery’s first ever school vacation day camp! Each day you can come here to find fun things to do, a yummy recipe to make a great snack or meal and a book or two to read. Everyone is welcome to join and I hope you will invite other friends who might be interested as well. If you missed Day 1, you can have double the fun today!
Here is what is I have in store for you today…
Something to do: Scribble Press app! This is an ABSOLUTE gem of an app that allows kiddos to create their own books with their own stories and illustrations. You can order their book from Scribble Press or the kiddos can submit their book to the SP virtual library for free to share with other SP kiddos! How fun is that? For an SP ebook on how to create an SP ebook :) click the image below. (Hint: My 9 year old liked this app a whole lot more when I got him a stylus. I found one at TJ Maxx for $7!)

For the little guys: Water Beads

Something to eat: Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bites (your kiddos will NEVER guess the secret ingredient. yum!)
Something to read: “The Dot” by Peter Reynolds. (Especially great if your kiddo is using the Scribble Press app and says, “But I don’t know what to write/draw!”) In stock at Tell Me a Story in Enfield, CT for locals!

Note: Tune in tomorrow for another fabulous suggestion from Christie of “Tell Me a Story“!

{Disclaimer: This post contains an iTunes affilate link to help keep the lights on at CG!}
